So, why did I pick Cornell and this song?

Fairly easy actually, the dude has one of the most (if not most) awesome voices in the world. high and low, powerfull and soft, screaming and whispering. the only downside is that he regularly picks wrong notes when singing live

and about the song. those lyrics are amazing. I can completely find myself in them.

I'm an idealistic creature. I live to help and I live to make things better. My sacred belief is that I can only do that by not having to pay attention to "the system" but to "wander on", completely cutting myself loose from society, giving me the chance to help people who can't help themselves. even though I know the world can be hard.

one thing that comes with idealism is the picture that's being described in this song. the hard sides of life, how you can miss someone, and how you can find -or not find- yourself. I just really enjoy the way he puts it in this song
